ReStore
The NRV Affiliate has operated a ReStore since 2007. The original location was in Christiansburg (some may remember the location out at the old Hill’s Shopping Center) but in 2009, it moved to Pulaski.
A ReStore is a thrift store concept for building materials, gently used furniture, lighting & plumbing fixtures, tools, appliances, and lots, lots more! The store accepts quality donations from the public, individuals and businesses, uses mostly volunteer labor, and the profits go directly toward our charitable mission to provide affordable housing.
We are excited to announce that the store will be moving back to Christiansburg very soon! We have secured a location in the Northgate Shopping Center (across from the Christiansburg Recreational Center), in a 22,000 square foot former grocery store. It is a brightly lit space with a lot of parking, great access via 460, and it is a central location. A great loading dock in the rear for receiving donations with space to process them is quite a perfect feature, as well.
We are always looking for donations and can pick up in some cases! We are interested in contractor leftovers, home project leftovers, gently used furniture, appliances, doors, windows, etc, etc. We are also looking for relationships with businesses to recycle returns, factory seconds, etc., as well!
If you think we might have it, call or come by. Have a cup of coffee, walk around & browse our constantly changing inventory due to consistent donations.
We will start accepting donations at the New store on Saturdays in October and hope to announce an opening date soon! Keep most up to date by following us on facebook (circle button at top of the website will direct you to the page)!
We have a lot of painting & moving and stuff to do, so if you’d like to volunteer please post on the “How to Help” tab. Otherwise check back here for updates.
Thanks for browsing!
Note: pictures are from other ReStores, to give you an idea what we are or will be. We’ll put our own pictures up when we open!
